Cylindrical Roller Thrust Bearings

Cylindrical roller thrust bearings use cylindrical rollers positioned axially between two bearing washers (raceways). They are designed to handle very high axial loads in one direction but cannot accommodate radial loads.

Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings

These bearings have barrel-shaped rollers arranged obliquely, allowing them to support both high axial and moderate radial loads. Their spherical raceway in the housing washer gives them self-aligning capabilities.

Thrust Roller Bearings

Thrust roller bearings refer to any bearing that uses rollers (cylindrical, tapered, or spherical) to manage axial loads. They are more efficient at carrying heavy thrust loads than ball-type thrust bearings.
